Sensory Sprout
Making new meals work for everyone at the table
An AI meal tool for families with sensory-sensitive kids. I researched, designed, and built a working prototype that builds food profiles through a short conversation, asking more only when a child’s food rules call for it, and explored how it could adapt recipes for everyone at the table.
Designing AI
Determining how to divide the work between people and AI
The answers determine the boundary:
- Reliability: Can AI do this consistently well?
- Risk: What happens if it gets it wrong?
- Reversibility: Can a mistake be detected and undone?
- Human judgment: Does the outcome depend on context, empathy, ethics, or accountability?
